Frequently Asked Questions

Every state has different requirements for applying to get a guard license. The general requirements are as follows:

You must be at least 18 years old,

You must undergo a criminal background check, and

you must complete an approved training course. 

All of our online courses, both a-la-carte and initial / renewal options, vary in time. Each course description contains information on how long they take to complete them. Students may to longer or shorter amounts of time to finish based on their competency and speed.  

Students have 24/7 access to the course for one (1) year from the time they first initiate the course.

We recommend that you reach out directly to the state / local agency that regulates the guard license. Ask them about "Disqualifying Convictions” that may affect your ability to obtain a license.
